We know that as a student who might be new to the University setting, making friends, study-pals, and meeting people with mutual interests can be tough. We've been there too!
This year has been especially challenging for all of us, and meeting new people has been even more challenging. The global pandemic, and in-person settings being non-existent has made it difficult to make friends, meet new people, and feel a sense of community and understanding between students. Those are only some of the reasons we created our Discord Server!
On our server, we have many channels for students to join! Here are a couple, just to name a few:
- International Students, moderated by our International Student Rep
- Indigenous Students, moderated by our Indigenous Student Rep
- Womxn's channel, moderated by our Womxn's Rep
- Channels for every future faculty stream (ie. Science, Engineering, Music, Social Work, etc)
- Studying rooms (studying with a friend or peer always helps, even virtually!)
- A lounge room (for meeting and talking with people, or just hanging out!)
- A gaming room (for when you need a break from studying!)
- Memes (yes, we even have a meme channel!)

Even though we're all apart physically, we can still be together virtually. Come meet our council, some new people, and maybe even make some new friends!
